#2 Lo Fi Faces | 98 Munich Jewellery Week

DISCO OPENING11.03 6pm | EXHIBITION 12.03 - 15.03.2020

As Human beings, we anthropomorphize the environment.
We see people when there are none and find features carved into the design and formation of our surroundings. Through tiny clues – a type of movement, the outline of a form or an unexpected sound, we are confronted by a presence – The mere suggestion of another.
Just enough to humble us or just enough to shake our world.

We see faces everywhere.
But what are they trying to tell us?

Lo-Fi Faces explores this hidden world of characters and the messages they are trying to convey, through magic, play and making. With works examining what we recognise as a face and how we use this symbol as a form of understanding, for ourselves and our relationship with the environment and others. From the ever popular ‘smiley’ to looser and more interpretive expressions – it the face that gives us direction.
